OUR PROGRAMS:

At A Child's Place, we teach through play, and interactive activities

Our program runs like a classroom,

from one lesson to the next, but we use games and pretend play to teach your child the fundamentals of preschool and kindergarten.

Our lessons are fully interactive so your little one is never lectured at a desk. We teach your child about colors, shapes, letters, numbers, through play. We use fre play tim to help imporove problem solving and your chlid's social skills.

Some activites we do are imaginative play, sorting, matching, and building which encourage emotional and academic growth.

Enrichment Activities:

At A Child's Place, we realize that every child is different, and our goal is to keep our classrooms small,  so we can personalize every child's experience.

We have lots of indoor room to run, and several "quiet" areas. We try to use a schedule, but children are encouraged to explore their individual preferences.

About our Garden and Trees:

The children get to bring home and try out a variety of organically grown fruits and veggies that they participate in growing themselves! We believe there is great importance to have some knowledge about agricultural care.

We have Apple, Plum, Pear and Peach Trees on site. We have started the growing season for our zucchini, yellow squash, peas, tomatoes, strawberries, beets and bell peppers. Our plants are all organically grown - without pesticides, or hormones for the safety of or children who wish to experience the garden.

A Quote by:

Dorothy Nolte, PhD

Children Learn what they live:

If Children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.

If Children live with hostility, they learn to fight.

If Children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.

If Children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.

If Children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.

If Children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.

If Children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.

If Children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.

If Children live with tolerance, they learn patience.

If Children live with praise, they learn appreciation.

If Children live with acceptance, they learn to love.

If Children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.

If Children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.

If Children live with sharing, they learn generosity.

If Children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.

If Children live with fairness, they learn justice.

If Children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.

If Children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.

If Children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

A Child's Place has adapted this quote as our own standard of how to properly treat your children;

which is with love, patience and praise.
